Autonomous garden maintenance
Whether on slopes or uneven meadows: The new powerful and app-controlled RCX 6 robotic lawnmower from Kärcher with automatic obstacle detection and all-wheel drive works comfortably and efficiently on green spaces. The main feature of the new RCX 6 is the built-in navigation system for precise and autonomous lawn care. There is no need to lay a boundary wire.
Maximum performance and superior navigation
The initial startup of the robotic lawnmower is relatively simple. All you need to do is anchor the antenna, which is used to determine the position of the robotic lawnmower, in the ground or, alternatively, mount it using the wall bracket supplied. The new robotic lawnmower then uses a combination of real-time kinematic technology (RTK) and a 3D stereo camera for navigation and control. Thanks to the RTK antenna, the RCX 6 can determine its position with centimetre accuracy. The camera is also equipped with artificial intelligence and can therefore distinguish between grass and kerbs in order to confine the working zone. Moving obstacles or animals such as hedgehogs are also recognised and avoided. An additional shock sensor on the front provides additional protection.
Three wheels with all-wheel drive provide the necessary drive and traction that is gentle on the grass, especially when turning. As a result, the robotic lawnmower reacts more flexibly, glides evenly and systematically in parallel paths even over uneven lawns and can make precise turns. The 5,000 mAh battery enables consistently high performance. The RCX 6 effortlessly handles challenging gradients and slopes of up to 70% and areas of up to 3,000 square metres.
Part of the smart home system: seamlessly integrated and connected
The robotic lawnmower can be controlled via Bluetooth or from anywhere via an Internet connection using the Kärcher Outdoor Robots app. Among other things, the app enables the creation and an overview of the saved map, scheduled operational planning or remote control to move the lawnmower independently using a digital joystick. In addition, parameters such as the cutting direction or the overlap of paths can be set. A big plus for users: The adjustable cutting height ranges from 2 to 10 cm and can even be individually programmed for different garden zones. A LCD display on the device also allows manual settings to be made or information to be read without an app. The RCX 6 can also be connected to existing smart home systems such as Amazon Alexa and Google Home to operate it via voice control.
A rain sensor ensures that the robotic lawnmower automatically stops working when it starts to rain. This function can also be deactivated if mowing is to take place despite poor weather conditions. The recorded data is stored on German servers in accordance with the highest security standards. Access to the camera, as well as the storage of video material, is excluded. The RCX 6 comes with six replacement blades and a charging station. The robotic lawnmower controls these autonomously when the battery level is low.
